Such a noxious, imbecilic embarrassment.

So many stupid, embarrassing remarks that now it's being reported that Charles is worried that he's going to babble out some political crap during the state visit. World leaders know that we elected someone who can't be trusted to act like an adult for five minutes.

In happier news, we now have footage of this babyman cheating at golf.

Charles should be worried and, in fact, should rescind the invitation to Trump. He can use the excuse that Donnie is a convicted felon and cannot be allowed into the UK.

HA! The best 6 months in a presidency? More like a 6 month nightmare that just won't end.

I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that Trump can hold the entire world hostage with his tariffs. They know he is a buffoon and a cheat and a liar. They know he is grandstanding and trying to deflect media attention away from whatever incredibly scandalous tidbits are in the Epstein report. But all this not withstanding, he has pulled the rug out from under our constitutional system in order to unilaterally install these tariffs without the consent of Congress (not that they would object in any meaningful way). Ach.

Like the mafia dons he wants to emulate, Trump brokers "deals." Whatever happened to agreements? Deals are done with a shiv, aren't they? Or a pair of cement boots? Scots aren't having Trump. Good for them.

Somehow, I was relieved that for a short while, trump was not here on American soil. Does he ever travel with family when he leaves town? I can't imagine that, although they are his heirs and run his businesses, any of them would want to spend time with him.

I would be a lot more afraid of Trump if he wasn’t a lazy uninformed schlemiel. He is bound to fail. He is the Baby Huey of presidents.

We all have to move now—and into action against a harmful government that sponsors pedophiles and covers up for them. The needy and children are being abused—by our government. We must protest in the streets until we go down or we oust tyrants, outright crooks, and pedophiles. I made 33 protest signs, and will make many more to share. You will see something different in these signs! Help yourself to this first batch, and share them as far as you can. https://hotbuttons.substack.com/p/free-protest-signs?r=3m1bs

O.M. G.. I guess he heard the talk around Scotland of an idea to squeeze Trump out of his golf courses there and put up Windmills.... Seriously. This is NUTS. No 25th amendment needed here. So glad Trump has that, you know, BIG BRAIN. Laugh or cry. Either fits. They both fit. Laugh, then Cry, then GET BUSY. This is not okay.

This is our time to realize that a Democracy will not stand by its self. We have to decide if it is worth fighting for. Will we let this incompetent, narcissistic, pathetic excuse for a leader, and his Project billionaires destroy what our founders created and thousands of Americans have lived and died for protecting it for 249 years? Yes, I'm sickened and angered by the daily "National Embarrassment", but also angered that we seem to be struggling to find aways to stop the madness. History will judge us too. Will fear and complacency be our legacy?

The first line of defense against Trump are the Republicans in Congress. The second line is the Supreme Court. The third line is the voter. All three have decided an imbecile is best for America. The rest of us can protest in the streets, write and call our Senators and Representatives in Congress, but we cannot move the voters to see what they have wrought unless we act. That third line is the most important when the LAW and CONGRESS prefer a dictator. We must get out the vote and we must find those responsible for their Trump vote and educate them. Speak softly, but insist.

There are signs that the voters are not happy. A big one is that he’s lost 17% re: approval rating from Independents since he took office. Now stands at 29%. It is not the ‘change’ they voted to see. It’s his lowest approval ratings from Independents in either term.

This is before states begin making moves on healthcare & other things the Big Ugly Bill will demand. Despite pushing Medicaid changes to after the mid-terms, the ACA Marketplace will see a typical premium increase 75% (per KFF) in January 2026. 24 million people are enrolled in ACA.

This is without considering that private insurers have to apply for rate approvals for next year. Probably already have. Tariffs are a wildcard effecting meds; supplies & equipment costs. Coffee jumped; more tariffs are coming. The EU ‘deal’ didn’t touch the 50% tariff on aluminum and steel and all the other things on the precipice. Feels like a house of cards about to collapse.

Thank You Steven ..I love this piece. I cannot hear him or read anything in the newspaper about him. It upsets me too much . The newsletters I subscribe to give me the info I need. Plus The Atlantic and the New Yorker help to keep me informed. When I hear him I start cursing and start to think I have tourette. I'm too old for this. Our allies must be horrified by him. I hope they know enough Americans to know that we are not all like him. He is a dangerous moron. I'm happy about South Park .

Coming from Scot/Scots Irish ancestry, I really wish those golf courses were located elsewhere. Worse is that Donald's mother came from Scotland. Donald is one of the most irreverent boors ever to walk the face of the earth.

The Scottish people tried to stop his golf course is especially the one that destroyed the natural dunes. Trump went into that town and took it over and they had a program on showing a 90 year old woman. they were trying to expel from her home.

How could America be so shallow, vapid, selfish and just plain stupid to have ever allowed the snake oil salesman, Trump, to get by with his myriad crimes and idiocy?

We all know, at least some of the reasons why: selfish, zero sum gain greed that many in the corporate world adhere to; mass disinformation campaigns that many in ignorance cling to because it provides a ready, simple solution to the misery in their lives; and some people in leadership positions valuing power and position over the common good. Trump is the pathetic tragic poster boy for all that and the unprincipled devotees like J. D. Vance, Marco Rubio, Pam Bondi, et al are the “fuel for the smoldering, putrid dumpster fire”.
