I told a friend when djt was elected a second time that white people would now be subjected to the same abuses and s*** that Black folks have endured for 400 years. Sadly, I was right,

I have heard that comment many times. Are white people handling it as well as Black people have? I think whites are in a state of shock that this is happening to us.

The executive branch of the US Government is waging war on its citizens. It is killing US citizens. It is lying about it. It is covering up its plans and intent. These are illegal, unlawful and immoral actions.

These are elected “representatives” and appointees. These are deliberate, premeditated acts. Spelled out in Project 2025 and in all manner of written and verbal communications. This is a takeover of our society by fanatics and criminals.

We must actively resist and rally or speak for others, or we become complicit.

I hope Schumer doesn't cave and fund DHS. Judas Priest, open your eyes, Chuck. The old ways of doing business don't work with the mafia. No offense to the mafia, but that's what Ol' Don has set himself up as....

Don is a low intelligence hood, for sure.

Schumer did not cave. Dick Durbin caved! As did some other Democrats and Repubs. Don't blame Schumer. Name the Democrats and ALL Republicans who put the vote in the approved column.

Leakie's avatar

I mean on the vote that's coming up. Seven Democrats in the house voted for the bill....Jeez Louise.

Exactly

They are on video saying the goal of 2025 plan was to cause as much trauma as they could to create as much havoc, chaos and confusion, emotionally abusing and physically abusing American citizens, hoping nobody would be able to distinguish right from wrong and just accept what they’re doing as the new norm. To become compliant and complicit . These are all narcissistic abuser tactics.

Well Americans are not accepting it as the new norm.

Thugs, murders, and the liars (Noem, Miller, et al) who have set these emotionally-malformed and angry men on the innocent citizens who are out supporting the immigrants and other protesters.

They executed them. A Pretti man and a Good woman.

Mary Greenwald's avatar

Why don't you count the first murder? Maybe because he was an immigrant and not WHITE? His name: Silverio Villegas Gonzalez, murdered September 12, 2025 in Chicgo. He was taking his immigrant brown children to school!

Nancy Stone's avatar

I haven’t heard of this before.

Patty Mooney's avatar

Thank you, I didn’t know.

P.S. Probably not the best idea to castigate fellow activists who are both compassionate and sensitive. Maybe you can kindly share more about Mr. Gonzalez. And direct your anger at ICE and the cosplaying idiots in our federal government.

Steven, I cannot bring myself to watch the horrific killing of this gentle man nor could I watch Renee Good’s. Not-See (aka Nazi) Noem and her Gestapo Dan Bovino are spin sisters. They make comments on state tv indicating they are willfully blinded by the evil they inflict. I just want to be alive to witness their arrests and prosecutions.

Thank you for calling this what it was—an execution in cold blood. We all saw it occur in real time. And we know that the government is lying through its teeth again.

Increasingly hard not to weep as the day goes on and I think of cruelty of these morally debauched human beings parading as law enforcement…

Alex will forever stand above them - an absolute contrast in temperament and impulse to help by bearing witness.

We cannot do enough to make sure he is NEVER forgotten. And the men who committed the atrocity that was his death are punished. Along with the leaders who support them.

Nuremberg.now.

The strong arm of authoritarianism, and it's necessary thugs, is rising to silence us into submission. But if thousands show up on the streets in Arctic sub-zero weather, this tactic is doomed to fail. So there is some hope in tragedy. We are all Minnesotans!

I'd like to say that Alex Pretti's murder will be the last one before Trump, Miller, Noem, and all other collaborators in this killing are impeached or forced under severe pressure to resign. After which Trump can hie himself back to Adult Daycare and play with his building blocks until law enforcement removes him from the White House in a straight jacket. Ok. So that's a fantasy. What's real is that the dam of our tolerance has been breached and the flood of our outrage is thundering onto the streets. Keep it up. Keep it nonviolent. Film everything.

Thanks Steven; Here we are with a fellow trying to assist a lady up from the landscape three or four gestapo goons take the fellow (Alex) to the ground and execute him with nine to eleven bullets. This was just plain murder. Full Stop. According to Pam Bondi's letter , if Governor Walz would just hand over the states voter data and let him supervise the mid terms this brutality could end.

I am stunned - though everything has been pointing towards this moment for a year - and I will try to bring more of my friends into taking simple actions to resist this heinous regime until we bring it down.

Thank You Steven ..I want to see every elected democrat get on plane to Minnesota. I want them to stand witht the people of Minneapolis. If they cave on the bill that's coming it will be unforgivable .. Shame on the democrats at this point. I am a life long democrat. I probably won't change to an independent. It is time for the younger genration to lead. somebody do something.. lost in america.

Trump has followed Bannon's evil advice to "flood the zone." There was Renee who we prayed would be the last. We rallied to the outrage of her murder. Now there is Alex, who looks like "Dr. Robbie", Noah Wiley's humane, empathic and moral ER doctor on "THE PITT". Not only is there a physical resemblance, but there was a touching teaching by Dr. Robbie about standing in silence to honor any recently deceased patient out of respect for their humanity. I wept as I saw video of Alex Pretti doing the same over a VA patient who had just died. Does it not strike the entire nation that Alex and "Dr. Robbie" are the best of us, and that Trump, Noem, Scavino and the rest of the cosplaying Nazis are the very worst of humanity? How can any voter, elected or appointed official of the people, not feel disgust and shame over the regime's behavior and total lack of humanity?

I've seen Kristi Noem described as a "sociopath" and a "psychopath." Those are both *individual* diagnoses. They are generally treated by psychiatrists and psychologists. What we're talking about here isn't the diagnoses of individuals. We're talking about an administration and a significant portion of the U.S. electorate that supports it. It can't be treated one-on-one by psychiatrists and psychologists. This pathology is *systemic*. It's *political*. Is the U.S. system capable of dealing with it? I don't know. I'm skeptical. I'm white and I come from considerable privilege, but I came of political age in 1968 and I usually put "U.S. democracy" in scare quotes.

Here's my question: HOW BAD DOES IT HAVE TO GET BEFORE WHITE PEOPLE START TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY?
