...from 2021...

"Democracy can stop Covid deaths... about half of California gets Small Claim mediation free (and 75% successful)...organize family of anti-vaxxers to sue their loved one... jab them for free in mediation 75% of the time...

https://americassbdc.org/is-mediation-your-best-option/

"A web search on mediation statistics indicates success rates that seem to hover around 85 percent, and reveals that mandatory mediation is only 10 percent less effective than that. It is astounding that even where parties do not want to mediate, the process brings them to their own voluntary resolution 75 percent of the time.Simply put, mediation is “negotiation on steroids.” ..."

...the reason you didn't think of the above yourselves ...

...is because you have been brainwashed by anti-Democracy efforts of The US Chamber of Commerce... as documented by (UC professor, et al):

I pray that Hands Off day brings some awareness. Because I think Trump's plan is not even oligarchy. The plan is Trump rules. He will chew up the others and never share anything. He will use up and spit out Musk. Trump is mentally ill. He is malignantly angry. I think he is punishing the world. And he is punishing the U.S. because he lost in 2020, and he has a sick mind. What he is doing has nothing to do with any sound policy of any kind. It is a test for the Republican Party. If they do not stop his destruction of the American economy and of American values, then they won't stop him when he acts to end elections. They won't have to worry because there will be no elections. Only Trump and his descendants. He has begun to implement his plan. Attack educational institutions. Attack normal relations with our allies. Attack the economy and working people to demoralize. Attack the judiciary. And then steamroll over any opposition and end elections. It is obvious this is his plan.

I agree with your assessment. Thank you for putting this out there. I think this is one of the best descriptions of what's going on, and we have to counteract that any way we can. This is mind-boggling. All because people were afraid to vote for a woman and because of voter roll purges to the tune of 4.5 million people.

Hitting the streets in San Diego for the protest today. I am 64 and I will be damned if my 6 uncles fought in World War II for nothing. And I am not leaving my 30-something sons to fight Fascism alone. I cannot move and leave them and their families behind. We Boomers KNOW what our country should be, and we are responsible to help get it into a correction course and get this bully OUT of the Oval Office we need to take notes for South Korea.

Yes, hoping our veterans who are somehow MAGAs wake TF up! Is this what they served and risked life and limb for? My father and four uncles were also WWII veterans.

I can’t march because of a stroke in my spinal cord, but I have my own little protest going. I’m from the ‘60s and. Know how to protest.

I live in a senior living community (old folks home) and several times a week I wear one of my collection of FDT t shirts….. the DT stands for Donald Trump and the F stands for what you might imagine. There is a plethora of FDT shirts on Facebook, Etsy and Amazon. Good times shocking the old folks every day… but a surprising number give me thumbs up!

Hope looks like the NYT's map of Wisconsin's latest election, with blue arrows indicating which counties moved toward Democrats and which shifted to Republicans. Last I checked, the entire state was BLUE! I'm so proud of the Badger State.

Except that they also voted in this election to put Voter ID regulations into the state constitution that may end up suppressing voting. See Democracy Docket for more information.

Right. It was a confusing amendment and deeply disturbing to read it. I hope we can figure out a way to remove it sooner rather than later.

I am a Wisconsin voter, so yes I was deeply frustrated to know the amendment didn't get the attention it should have as campaigning for our new justice dominated efforts to get her elected.

I’ll be heading to my 8th protest since January 20, here in Tucson. Very encouraging bc my first one has less than 300 people. Last week we were 1900 strong. I can’t wait to see the size of the crowd today! ✊

If I was still residing in Tucson, I would have joined you; I’m sure the turnout was immense. I joined the HANDS OFF Salt Lake City protest and it was upwards of 6,000 🙌 . Brought tears of gratitude to my 80 year old self being surrounded by concerned and caring patriots.

"Enough!" (Poem by "Public Servant")

Beneath the Capitol’s grand dome, Where voices rise and battles roam, One man stood firm, his conscience clear, A champion’s heart, a pioneer."Enough!" he cried with righteous fire, Against the forces of deceit and liar. No silent complicity would he bear, While truth was trampled, justice rare. With words like shields and truth his sword, He spoke for those too long ignored. The sacred right to cast a vote, For every voice, for every note.Through weary hours, he held the floor, A sentinel at freedom’s door. No filibuster born of spite, But one to keep the flame alight. For democracy is fragile, dear, And thieves of rights draw ever near. Yet Booker stood—unbowed, unbroken— A vow of justice boldly spoken. So history will mark this fight, When darkness loomed, he brought the light. A senator with courage true, Who dared to do what none would do.For in his stand, we hear the call: Democracy must never fall.*********************************Yes, a great day for hope and the Dems, and let's underline this: " Booker’s speech “may change the course of political history” in that it gave Democrats hope and “a reason to fight.” [Frank Luntz, Republican pollster]  The leaderless Dem Party now has a leader--where no other stood up before and fought for 25 hours straight, making his name mean Fighter, Solidarity,  and Good Trouble, all at the same time.

Thomas Paine's essay pamphlet "The American Crisis" (1776-1783), and his saying "These are the times that try one's soul" was a call to action during difficult times, urging perseverance and patriotism. In this current modern crisis It is time for a republishing and a retelling. It reinforces hope.

Remember, when you leave your home with your protest sign (or just plan to stand)--you are not alone.  With the anticipated thousands [million+?] of heroic protestors on April 5th (actually any and all days, including Women's March) here's an updated partial list of those fighting back every day [as of 4-5--25). I'm also adding courageous law firms who haven't caved. Besides upstanding lawyers (e.g.  Brenna Trout Frey,  and law-abiding honorable (present and former) judges (including James Boasberg, chief judge, D.C. District Ct.), here's a growing list of Profiles in Courage men, women, and advocacy groups who refuse to be cowed or kneel to the force of Trump/Musk/MAGA/Fox "News" intimidation:I'll begin (again) with Missouri's own indomitable Jess[ica] (à la John Lewis's "get in good trouble") Piper/"The View from Rural Missouri," then, in no particular order, Francie Garber Pepper (1940-2025), Heather Cox Richardson/"Letters from an American," Joyce Vance/"Civil Discourse," Bernie Sanders, AOC, Rep. With this many good people, how can we lose? We lose only if we don’t get out and vote. The Trumpers are not listening to us. They don’t care what we say or do. They only care what Dear Leader tells them to do. Where are the 81 million people who voted for Joe Biden?
