So much sanity and maturity. Exasperating that it warrants this spot on commentary.

Forwarding to current House 'speaker'; may not do any good but worth a try....

As my grandfather once told me; your character is defined by what you do when no one is watching.

Well said. After 4 years of presidential egomania, it’s refreshing to have a leader who just focuses on getting stuff done.

I'm so glad we have Biden for our president! He keeps showing us why we were wise to choose him, and why we'd be wise to give him another term.

Of course this list connects directly with Trump. But enough of Trump, that insane babbler.

73.6 million Americans voted to re-elect Trump in 2020. Happily for the world, that was 7 million short of what Joe Biden got.

But how can this nation have 73,600,000 adults so (pick one or more):

• stupid

• warped

• racist

• fascist

• uneducated

• ill-educated

• hateful

• Fill in the blank _____

These 73,600,000 had had nearly four full years to watch the chaos of Trump.

Why did they want to rehire him? As one of our most thoughtful historians, what theories do you have?

Thank you for your thoughts.

We are dealing with leadership who succeeded at fueling and enabling peoples' worst instincts. Not easy to put that back under the rock. BTW, the historian you are thinking of is my brother.

A couple of close friends who remain Republican are none of those things. They are simply

what their parents were.
