Yes - make bribery in our political campaigns illegal again. I would also fund the political and legal activities require to implement a Code of Ethics for the Supreme Court that is actually enforceable, and to put forth an Amendment to the Constitution that clarifies that the Bill of Rights do not apply to judicial entities like Unions and Corporations. Corporations are not people! (as argued by the GOP in the Citizens United Case)

Alternatively (if GOP insists that Corporations are People), we establish laws to prosecute any CEO and Board presiding over the bankruptcy of a Corporation-person for manslaughter.

Currently, I run a large dog rescue in Connecticut, and I would use the funds to continue that effort and to address the ongoing problem of breeder malpractice and animal cruelty and neglect.

All Lawyers have a searchable record on the Bar Association that they are a member of. They should all be measured with the NPI(Narcissism Personality Inventory) and their score should be a public record. Ditto with all Government Officials.

I’m also concerned with the government reports, all the records that Trump thinks he own, any of those should not leave the government buildings, properties, they should go straight to a vault, once they’re in there, NO ONE should not take them out, unless they’re going to be used, they all should record what they took out, with the dates taken and returned. Classified, or unclassified. What do you think, Steven

I would donate money to museums, historical societies and libraries. I would set up college scholarships for first in family to attend higher Ed. I would pay off home mortgages for my daughter and nieces and nephews. I would donate enough to ensure the longevity of the care facility where my handicapped youngest daughter resides. And and and. ..I’d do what I could to spend it to help others. (I might also buy a newer car lol)

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a health clinic in every low income elementary and high school to offer basic health care and screenings so we can at least try to give every child a better life? Think how many severe, chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes we might be able to lessen the later effects of? Since our government will never fund that I would.

Those are needed in all schools (childcare-university/post doc/law school/med, etc.)...regardless of income and regardless of the level of federal funding. At the same schools, you'll see the kids who come from $$$$ and those who are food insecure. People don't realize they are all at the same school.

I will obviously never actually find out what I would do with billions of dollars, but I'm sure that I would not: a) become a fascist; b) become even more avaricious, c) suck trump's dick for power and influence, d) abandon all principles and sanity, assuming I did have them at one time

I would find a way to set up universal health care in this country that would remove the authoritarian life and death decisions from corporate insurance companies. Medicare for All would be a great opportunity for everyone to get the health CARE they need instead of having to do GoFundMe pages for cancer treatment. The infrastructure is already there, the price allowances are reasonable, and the system that snags fraud/abuse cases could be strengthened.

I don't need "stuff." Although I'd probably indulge in a steady supply of chocolate...

I totally agree, Jude. Chocolate notwithstanding. Our country desperately needs all the services and protections that we have worked hard for centuries to build and maintain. After funding every effort to remove Citizens United and prosecute the corrupt judges in the Supreme Court, I would then weaponize my wealth to do the same to every corrupt congress- person and cabinet member including the President. These people are intolerably toxic to life as we know it in our towns, cities and on the planet we all inhabit. Finally, I would do my best to fund the election of all those who would work altruistically to restore the trust and goodwill we once had around the world. Only then would we deserve to call ourselves human and American.

Melinda Gates is a billionaire who, rather than clutching the billions she was awarded in her divorce from Bill, has chosen to use almost all of it to help others. There are SO many things I would love to be able to do. Drones/other needed military equipment to Ukraine, to start with. (Timothy Snyder, formerly an Eastern European History professor at Yale and now at the Univ. of Toronto in Canada, organized a group to donate to buy a drone. Each drone costs $1M. If I remember correctly, he raised enough for two.) How bloodthirsty that sounds! But Ukraine desperately needs our help. I would also focus on helping Ukrainians who chose to stay/had to stay in Ukraine -- there are agencies helping; as well as the 1/3 population who have chosen to flee to Poland and other nearby countries. I would (help to organize and) support an organization to help the nearly million Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. Since the current regime has stopped birth control assistance to Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Madagascar, and Burkina Faso, I would reinstate those programs. I would give a billion dollars to Democrat candidates for the 2026 elections. That's for starters. There are so many other things I would do, if I knew how many billions I would have. I would keep $25 million, which is an enormous amount of money, but would like to have it for small needs which I would come across in the course of the remainder of my life.

Quite honestly, I would start at making myself housing secure and make sure I can provide for the remainder of my senior years. And if I continue to feel well enough I would do some traveling. Beyond that, I truly long to be able to give to causes (humanitarian, individuals, environmental, etc.) that I believe matter to all. I cannot even conceive of billions. I would have to find some expert advice to set up foundations; to purchase and protect natural lands for the public, etc. Currently my giving is truly just a widow's mite. But I do try to keep up a tiny level, while stressing endlessly about how to pay the rent. My car is still running. I am going to go look for birds and other beauty this morning. Seeking community among people and the natural world would not change for me personally. Watching a sandhill crane hatch a new chick this May was the best thing of the spring...

If I had billions, I would give a good portion of it to World Central Kitchens to feed the hungry and suffering in this world. I would use another large portion for Doctors Without Borders and the rest to provide scholarships for those who want to pursue education but can’t afford it.
