The whole thing angers me. Trump, the supporters in the photo, all the Radicalized Republicans … none of them care. They all support this crazy man. They are all responsible for the death and destruction of so many and so much.

I blame all those people around him who are enabling him more than I actually blame Trump. Trump is who he is, he doesn’t know any better. But every single one of those others do.

If trump thinks this WAR he started is “small potatoes,” then why did he sneak out of Turkey in a catering truck container with Natalie and leave his staff and journalists on a decoy plane as a target for Iran?

One lost life says this is no small potato. Too many lives have been lost for it to be anything less than devastating, many of them innocent lives. I am afraid that the mindless wonders in the regime have awoken a beast that is going to be long lasting even after the “small potatoes” war is over.

No, of course it is not "small potatoes", but it does distract from the EPSTEIN files, and in that sense the war is successful as Americans, who have very short attention spans, have generally forgotten about this issue: The republican administration is covering up a pedophile ring! SHAMEFUL!!!

Many of us don’t have short-term memories, and the Epstein files are not going away. We will make sure of it!

No. The only small potato is the orange oaf that occupies the people's house.

He thinks he can lie his way out of anything. The dead are not small potatoes, but to him they are all "Suckers" and "Losers"--whether they are Americans who VOLUNTEERED to serve, immigrants in concentration camps, protestors on American streets, dads shot while driving with their three-year-olds or an "effing b*tch" shot dropping her children at school, innocent Iranian schoolgirls, guests at a wedding, or any human being that opposes these "christian" nationalist Nazis.

He and his regime DO. NOT. CARE. because none of this ever touches them personally. And those ranchers and farmers standing behind him are just as delusional if they think Big Ag won't snap up their land the minute they go bankrupt--just ask J.D.

My UK perspective is that this administration and its cabal of heartless sycophants is as careless with its own citizens as it is with the safety and rights of many others around the world. The memes are no longer funny, and the wearying daily list of outrages has lost its sting - as intended. My hope is for a turnaround from the ballot box. If you think your postal vote may be vulnerable, then walk to the ballot box to protect your future. Feeling heartsore for my dear American friends and those of us with no agency to act for change.

Thank you. I’m tearing up that the entire rest of the world doesn’t just hate & revile all Americans. I appreciate your kind thoughts.💕💕

When US friends visited here recently, travelling through Ireland (both the Republic and Northern Ireland) and then to Scotland, I was pleased to hear that they encountered much kindness and an understanding of how unsettling life must be if you are not a supporter of this administration. With my limited Constitution knowledge, I try to explain to others the realities of “why can’t they just get rid of him?“ It’s a natural enough question, borne out of a loathing of the man and his behaviours. But by and large, I believe it’s the man and his cronies that are viewed negatively, not the American people. Wishing you the leadership you deserve, as quickly as it can be achieved. 😊

Thank you so much!! Everyone I interact with personally is working to shut down this fascist regime. 💕💕

Ta muchly, Cheryl. We are so sorry and totally embarrassed at what this regime has done to our allies and neighbors. WE the People value our alliances, value the trust he has broken, and can only hope we can rebuild those relationships somehow once this national nightmare is over. I'm sure it will take generations before anyone trusts the US even halfway again.

Some good news is that Judge Indira Talwani blocked the US Postal scheme through the November election and refused to pause her own order so they could appeal. But if there is any doubt, definitely make a plan to vote early and vote against these monsters.

That’s very good news. Wishing you well for November.

NOT small potatoes when Americans give their lives and take the lives of others.

Americn voters are morally bankrupt. Those who voted for Trump and Republican legislators are not in the streets protesting the war or destruction of our government. Our hope lies in November elections. If Democrats win and do nothing, we lose our moral grounding. If Republicans win all is lost. We will all be "small potatoes" in the eyes of the world.

Not “small potatoes” when it put the abject weakness of the United States on display for the world to see.

Barb Luebke's avatar

Oops. Finger too quick. Meant to edit to say: NO war is “small potatoes.”

Nothing says “ I don’t give a f•••” more than saying it’s a $100 billion and 18 lives are meaningless. The same people who scream every life is sacred when we talk about abortion, stand by in silence when young men and women die in war. Shameless absolutely shameless.

But remember we are still in this….war. His words at the start were wars are easy to win. Now that’s not true let’s try out calling it a skirmish or some thing else. What a disgrace he is.

The only small potato in the WH is his brain.

Only a draft-dodging coward who has never experienced war would say such a cruel & heartless thing

But of course, Trump is a malignant narcissist & sociopath incapable of self-reflection, feeling shame & admitting mistakes

What people must truly comprehend?

He does not give a shit about anyone but himself

Dead children in Iran? Nope

Dead children in America? Nope

Dead US soldiers-Ho-Hum (small potatoes)

Dead innocents off the coast of South America (yawn)

The entire GOP has devolved into a Death Cult where their motto as their leader shows US every day is:

The. Cruelty. Is. The. Point

Thank you for raising your questions.

To me there is no ceiling on the value of even one human life.

I looked up the average value of potatoes: The average price for a pound of fresh small or petite potatoes (such as baby red or yellow creamer potatoes) ranges from $1.00 to $2.66 per pound, depending on whether they are bought loose by weight or in pre-packaged 1.5 to 3-pound bags.

And to my immense shock there is an actual attempt to quantify the value of a human life!

The official monetary value of a human life used by U.S. federal agencies is approximately $13.1 million to $13.7 million, a metric known as the Value of a Statistical Life (VSL)

I don’t agree

This assessment is way way too low.

In my opinion it’s impossible to decide.

You quoted the 18 American lives lost

And

the thousands of Iranian lives lost,

And the cost to me is immeasurable impossibly to assign a price tag.

Life is too precious

👉And obviously to me much more costly than a pound of small potatoes.

Thank you, Steven
