Full stop. No longer even debatable, except for the cultists.

If you pull the thread even a microscopic amount, it is plain that Trump’s support of Russia in its latest iteration is a direct through line to Iran. Trump buys enough Russian oil to keep him in Putin’s good graces so that Putin can give Iran the weapons it needs to attack us. Sweet. Traitor 101. What I don’t understand is that, even if someone is pro-Putin, those sentiments do not erase, as you said, Steven, the traitorous aspect of all this. We may not be technically at war with Russia but we are certainly at war with Iran.

It amazes me that any President of this great nation could ‘1984’ us about who our enemies are. Democrats, journalists, immigrants…the list goes on and on…but Russia? No. Poor little mistreated Putin, who has plundered and murdered and invaded Ukraine. Poor little mistreated Putin, who has interfered with our elections non-stop and spoon-fed propaganda to this country’s propaganda-hungry citizens on behalf of Trump. Poor little mistreated Putin, who is helping to fund a war in Iran that should never have been started. And “the beat goes on”.

Stephen, your veracity is only exceeded by your courage in stating it so plainly and forcefully. Thank you for both. They are sorely lacking and desperately needed in these dark and dangerous times.

When the felon said, "Russia, if you're listening..." during the race between Hillary Clinton and him, I said, "That's treason!"

Maybe it didn't meet the formal definition then, but I was ultimately right.

When the idiot won the first time, I said to a friend, "There goes our democracy." She said that she thought I was overreacting.

Now she says that I was right.

I never minded being right before. I do about this.

Critically necessary to exclaim the excruciatingly painful Truth as you have - yes- Trump has betrayed us, our Democracy our country. We are now clearly in a fight for survival.

WOW - SPOT ON. You are only stating what sooo many of us know but you have the wide audience to reach. "He" must be impeached for dereliction of duty, treason for not upholding the Constitution and America's allies. AND - colluding with the enemy (Putrid).

So, one more time - VOTE, please! Vote as if our lives depended on it and so many others too. God bless America - and, Ukraine

It is increasingly hard to ignore the possibility that Trump has become so angry that an ever increasing number of Americans are refusing to accept him as a colossus bestriding the world, that, like Hitler, if he goes down, he’ll be all too happy to take the rest of the country wit him in some sort of holocaust.

That may sound crazy, but he does appear to have become completely detached from any kind of reality outside of his own concept of his obvious greatness. Such men, when in positions of great power, are extremely dangerous. I would not put much if anything past him as he faces the real possibility of investigations of his actions and corruption.

Should the Democrats retake the House and or the Senate next month, the period between the election and the seating of new members will become highly volatile and dangerous.

Today I received a letter from the Department of Health and Human Services. The letter was signed by Donald Trump. He maintains he is the First President in History to bring down American's drug prices. He also claims to have fought for lower Healthcare Costs, increase Accountability, and Put Patients First.

He did not mention which pool of money the $90 he sent me came from; nor why this was done within days of an election; nor how much of my tax dollars were spent sending the letter; nor why my Social Security payment was a week late; nor why His Postal Service was a week late delivering his letter. Trump and the Republicans with the aid of the media are spreading disinformation and playing on the fears of Social Secutity and Medicare recipients to garner votes for their continued corruption. To off-set Trump and the Republicans, I voted a straight Democratic ticket and have my sign ready for the march in Chicago this Saturday. "No Dictators, No Gulags, No Gestapo." NO TRUMP - NO ICE. STOP THE KILLINGS.

This designation will only matter in the history books still to be written, if we survive this. Nobody now has the ability to move on the charges nor garner a significant amount of support to persuade the public to take action. Who or what agency can do so? He’s obviously unfit for office. He’s not able to stop his lies. Family members can’t intervene. Associates can’t persuade. The military can’t address the problem and stage a coup. Time is the only weapon against him. (Or an assassin’s bullet.) Those history books will have a lot to say about this era and few people, institutions, and organizations will be spared the wrath of our descendants.

Good article Mr Beschloss. Eventually we will learn of the depths of 'kompromat' that Putin holds over Trump's head. Trump is a traitor and all of his so called Immunity given through SCOTUS will not protect him from accountability.

Steven, I don’t know why no one will listen to me. You can call Donald Trump a traitor. He cares not. The 1787 U.S. Constitution is too boring, and print too hard for him to read.

You are stumped by Trump’s deal with Putin, including “demanding Ukraine to stop its attacks on Russia’s oil refineries.”

Isn’t it obvious? Didn’t you watch the marvelous “The Americans” where two Soviet KGB officers pose as a married American couple in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., during the Cold War.?

Trump may not be a KGB officer posing as a President, but he certainly acts like one.

I pin Trump’s love affair with Putin to the believable fact that Putin has Kompromat on Trump. In this case, the “damaging, incriminating, or embarrassing information” is video (black and white) of Trump cavorting with Russian prostitutes.

Putin’s collection would stun the most fervent followers of snuff films. I believe, more than cavorting, some poor woman was killed and Putin had the cameras rolling.

If Trump sassed Putin, or angered him in any way, front page stories around the world would be printing Putin’s pot of gold. And that terrifies Trump.

Our faux president appears to have no limits to his malfeasance, but Putin’s videos would turn even his family and closest allies against him.

That’s my theory, and I’m sticking with it.

Add to Trump’s treason his ignoring of Russia's giving Iran intelligence that helped Iran destroy American bases and kill our military.
