It is indeed sickening. This excrescence needs to go.

The fact we have a sexual predatory pervert running the White House is beyond sickening, disgusting, shameful and outrageous. Worse is how so many continue to support Donald J. Trump, a severely flawed specimen of life who is fallow, shallow and hollow. We the people deserve the best when we have ended up with the worst. The worst of the worst.

Thanks Steven: So well stated. Yes folks stay focused don't let the president divert your attention away from the real issues, your democracy constitution and rule of law. He is a master of diversion. Keep the Epstein files on the front burner, don't let up. The victims must get some sort of justice , by is the slammer or shame. They want some sort of closure. I'm not sure how it all works , but the vote in the house is then voted in the senate then it heads over to Mr. Trumps desk where he can sign it or veto it. I think that is how it works.

Yes that’s the process.

I’ve read the testimony of the young woman who was going to testify against the felon in 2016. Her first name (not her real name) was Katie. The story she told was horrific, but her family was threatened, so she refused to testify further. If her story is true, it’s damning to the felon. I suspect she was truthful.

You hit the nail on the head with this short 2 minute video. I do believe Putin has Compramat on Trump and much of it comes from Epstein.

Mr. Beschloss alludes interestingly to Trump's problems with Russia having compromising sexual criminality and sexual perversion information about Trump and his cronies, and about Russia using it to blackmail--Trump, other American politicians, maybe business moguls. Trump has been a Russian asset--undercover Russian spy--since the 1980s. (Putin bailed him out when his first bankruptcy (of six) occurred.) There's a great documentary that lays it out--Active Measures. Rent it on Amazon for a few bucks and watch it. It seems Putin holds lots of videos of Trump doing sick things with Russian prostitutes. And Putin is using this and other info, blackmailing Trump to do Putin's will. We're not hearing a lot about Russia these days. It's probably deliberate. Putin is likely calling the shots while staying far, far in the background. Watch the documentary. It's reputable. See what you think.

Distraction(s) or not, Steven, it seems with the persistent validation of so many still, STILL, the labeling of a cult here doesn’t seem to go deep enough to me. What ails those whose grievances won’t be cured through some sort of conversion, or, simply changing their minds and asking for forgiveness for their denials up to now, will continue to be a mystery. Truth, for some, just isn’t as important than allegiance. Even when such loyalty leads to death. The ripples of Pain and Suffering as a consequence will fade in time. I remain Hopeful, Wisdom will prevail, sooner than later.

looks like he's wagging the dog in Venezuela. It's actually kind of nice to know QAnon types hate pedophilia even if it isn't Dems allegedly doing it.

I'm not distracted by Trump, but I *am* somewhat obsessed with the question of why we wound up with Trump in the first place. That has a lot to do with the racism, sexism, and ignorance of so much of the electorate, but also with the kid-gloves treatment practiced by upper-level Democrats, especially the white ones. The rot here goes very, very deep. I have very little confidence in the ability and willingness of upper-level Democrats to deal with it

You forgot the corporate "both sides" media.

Trump is going nuts, right now, because he knows alot more than the rest of us (yet) about what is in The Files. He is trying very hard to activate a filibuster in the Senate against approval of the House Resolution, but from what I've seen and heard, about Repub. Senators up for re-election next year (and there might even one or two who would stand on principle on this one --- hey you never know) he is not going to be able to engineer that. If it does pass the Senate, of course he could veto it, which would tell anybody who would agree to listen everything they would want to know. BUT, the "Epstein emails" are flooding the zone anyway. The Kraken have been released.

(By the way, the "dog that didn't bark" is a reference to a Sherlock Holmes short story in which the killer was eventually identified, because when the murders were committed, in a stables, around mid-night, and the stables dog was there, he/she didn't bark because he/she knew the person, and it could only have been a particular person.)

As for the end of the Shutdown, about Whihc so many Democrats/anti-Trumpers have been highly critical, a long-time member of that group (who in print was characterizing Trump as a fascist in early 2016), I am not among that number. Yes, the ACA (which affects 6% of the population) did not get the increases it needs. BUT, for example, SNAP was fully funded, certain fired Federal employees will have to be hired back, Fed. workers will get back pay, the ATCS will be fully back in time for the Thanksgiving holidays, AND, historically likely the most important outcome, Rep. Grijalva was sworn in in the House, getting 218 voted for the Release-the-Files resolution.

On a different (mentioned) subject, as for "what Putin has on Trump," among others are: the details the “DeutscheBank” affair; the details (of course) of Russian interference in the 2016 election (from the U.S. side, see the Mueller Report); Putin’s interpreter’s notes from the famous “2018 Helsinki meeting” (Trump had his interpreter’s notes destroyed); and Roger Stone and the “DNC tapes,” supplied to him by Julian Assange (who got them from where?), which Stone then conveniently “dropped” a couple of hours after the “Access Hollywood” tape was released.
