I do not have Trump Derangement Syndrome, the bogus MAGA call down of their God’s enemies who fear for our democracy. I can now identify my malady as TRUMP IS DERANGED SYNDROME!!! Deranged in regard to his administration’s wildly illegal attacks on Americans’ human rights, constitutional rights, and our rights to life, liberty and the to the unfettered pursuit of happiness. Trump’s threat to attack Iran if that government’s attack on protesters continues is one of the most mindlessly hypocritical declarations by the deranged would be dictator so far and that’s saying something. Likewise his attacks on Fed Chair Powell. He is DERANGED, DEMENTED and terrifyingly DANGEROUS!! Every one of his “Secretaries” is impeachable now, even before any future constitutional or military atrocities are committed
I agree 100%! Noem should be first after the murder of a US citizen by her unlawful ICE goons and thugs. Also, Hegseth, Kennedy, Rubio, and others I can’t at this moment remember because I am more angry than I have ever been before in my entire 85 years.
Since Renee Nicole Good was gunned down by Jonathan Ross, my anger has grown exponentially due to the DOJ and FBI’s refusal to investigate their rogue employee. I can’t sleep, I barely eat, and I need to vent before it causes more serious consequences.
These people are deranged and completely unhinged. They all deserve to be in federal prison. I don’t know what I can do to make it happen, but we all need to stand up to their lawlessness. Thanks for reading. It helped to get it out.
Maybe it’s our age, Sharon. I’m coming up on 80 and remember when Congress worked in unison for the good of the people at least most of the time. This is not just a change in government. It’s the destruction of government. For years, Steve Bannon talked about the necessity of just burning government to the ground and starting over. If we were starting over with decent people who had the country’s best interest at heart, it would be different. But we have nihilists running the country now. Sometimes I would hear my mother say when she got close to her 80s that she had lived too long. Even then she was getting depressed with the way the country was going. Now I understand how she felt. How could we have possibly been so accepting of the trends that were flushing our democracy down the toilet? The greed, the self dealing, the cowardice. I hope it’s not too late now to turn it around. There are going to have to be sacrifices. Renee Good is not the first, and I am certain she won’t be the last.
Steven, I saw the video of Minnesotans clapping back as ICE agents tried yet another takeover. But this time, the whistles were out everywhere and enough people gathered in the streets, sending ICE away with their tails between their legs. This is exactly what it takes. Oh, I just learned from Glenn Kirschner that it is now 10 federal prosecutors who have resigned from their jobs. YES!
We MUST fight back. The Founders of this Nation and all those who have died and been maimed fighting for this form of Democracy have passed on the right to defend ourselves and this Nation from the Fascist Regime now in Washington. We cannot be intimidated, we cannot be weak, we cannot give in. It is our turn to eliminate the Evil Deeds Trump has loosed upon us. It is our right; it is our duty.
MARY - SO VERY WELL-SAID! Reminds me of Ben Franklin/'s comment at end of 1st Const. Convention when asked about the kind of democracy - "...a republic, IF YOU CAN KEEP IT.
Yes. And we need to step it up. The federal government is at war with those opposed to its policies.
“Colorful demonstrations and weekend marches are vital but alone are not powerful enough to stop wars. Wars will be stopped only when soldiers refuse to fight, when workers refuse to load weapons onto ships and aircraft, when people boycott the economic outposts of Empire that are strung across the globe. ” - Arundhati Ro
With every crack, the regime weakens. Let’s keep it up. (Even a handful of Republicans congress members seem willing to recover their spines in the face of threats to Powell.)
Yes, the cracks are growing. The Senate passed out of committee limits on War Powers regarding Venezuela. Because all committees are run by the GOP and have a GOP chair that’s significant.
There have been some other wins. This is a good time to advance legislation from the Senate (as they try to figure how to cut DHS funding) because the House is in some disarray with only a 2 vote margin.
While standing up and speaking out is necessary, by it self, it won't change much. The decimation of the middle class started with Slick Wille and Ronny Boy lighting the candles on the cake. I have watch my country turn into a work camp. And if it now turns violent, an insurrection will be declared. And you can't have elections during an insurrection. The smart move is to do what the Black people did between 1955 and 1968. That non-violence movement accomplished quit a lot. It required a lot of blood sweet and tears, and a great deal of coordination. If your not up for the drill, then you will need to create a work stoppage action, across the country, for 4 to 6 weeks, maybe longer. But never forget that the entire political class is responsible for this mess. And they ALL must go.
I agree that it must be peaceful. Multifaceted works too! I think this is part of the surprise to the regime — that MN has remained peaceful despite their worst efforts.
We can have elections during an insurrection. We had elections during the Civil War. Congress is the only entity that can delay elections.
The only terrorists that exist are those who reside in TDS2 regime whose base is in the half destroyed Whitehouse complex. I applaud 👏 ✌️ those who continue to stand and speak against this authoritarian wannabe regime. Whistle while you work and make it LOUD and PROUD!
TY, Steven - your 'today' writing is giving me hope yet still have that feeling in pit of stomach, so to speak, that is result of fear and anger. Watching news this morn w/most recent ice actions yesterday in M-StP, and wonder at the cruelty. One woman was yelling "I am disabled" but it meant nothing. Have often wondered if some of our retired Generals etc would get active, take over military and give orders to stop this mess - would it work; wouldn't be illegal to protect our Country. And do we know where all these ice ppl are coming from - some of demented donny's J6 cronies?? We are NOT 1930s Germany and are not Russia so everyone must fight for honest election commissions to uphold free and fair elections and our right to vote and then WE have to actually do it - VOTE to keep our Democracy.
This is so spot on. The biggest weapon the regime has is intimidation. I heard a reporter who’s been in MN say the regime did not expect ongoing pushback. It expected Minneapolis to be cowed. History would tell them otherwise.
As hard as it is for me to believe there are signs she is right. The operation on the ground is not a well oiled machine. 2 protesters detained at the ICE facility said it is not a large facility but loses detainees. How do they know? Agents would wander around and around asking detainees if they’d seen so-and-so.
A ‘sticky note’ on the door to their area said “USC” to designate the area for US Citizens. [Immigration enforcement cannot legally & deliberately hold US citizens without reasonable suspicion of a federal crime or immigration violation.]
Noem, Miller, ICE, the lot of them are now saying the quiet part out loud: "Yes. We are Nazis. Want to do something about it?" The scourge of ICE must be stopped, now, before more people are murdered. While your examples of positive efforts to confront the regime are great, I am thunderstruck that now Jeffries and Schumer are saying they don't want to shut the government down. Jesus H. That's the only power card we have right now to defund and defang ICE. The health and safety of the nation is at stake and these two guys want to go along to get along. Outrageous! People: please get on the phones to your senators and representatives and tell them to oust those "leaders" NOW. Too much is at stake for cowards to be steering the ship. Call (202) 224-3121, ask to be connected to the right offices. I don't want to see any more Renee Good tragedies.
Genuinely ‘Good men/ women’ standing tall in defiance of Trump(ism) are becoming even more distinct from their polar opposites today - the wheat being sifted from the chaff.
GOP fence-sitters hoping to save their seats are due to get a good thrashing Nov. 3.
Already several are *now* reconsidering their stance in healthcare, but not out of genuine consideration for the voters of less means.
Once upon a time ICE (and its predecessor INS) wore plain clothes, got appropriate warrants and quietly went about the business of collecting those who had final deportation orders, usually based on the criminal activity of the migrant. There were protests about some of the policies they followed, but not really about the day to day way they went about their work.
This current protests and mass opinions about ICE seem to be entirely about HOW they are going about doing, and abusing their jobs. I doubt anyone wants an actual violent criminal migrant to stay in the US; we have enough of our own. DHS and the Gnome have created this situation their ownselves,
That is very true. Also a lot of the bad acts credited to ICE are CBP. Border Patrol has a long history of misbehavior and has basically done as it pleased in the 100 Mile Border Zone. It and other federal agencies are being deployed together. Greg Bovino is head of CBP.
I think the most interesting of those is Sen. Kelly's suit. If it continues, Pet Hegseth will have to sit for a deposition, under oath! That will be fascinating.
I agree with others here that the only * ‘Domestic Terrorists’ here are Trump & cabinet.
+ Kristi NOEM here shows she has adopted Trump’s DEFLECTION by PROJECTION techniques
KN : “You don't get to change the facts because you don't like them. 🙄 What happened in Minneapolis was an act of *domestic terrorism.
Acts of domestic terrorism like this should be condemned by every politician and elected official. It shouldn’t be hard or remotely controversial. (MoJo copied)

I agree, Rita. At my age I recognize things I may not have when I was younger. It’s going to take all of us to hold this regime accountable.
You are definitely not alone in your anger. Take comfort that protesters have been out all over the country — a very quick response.
Thank you. I was at one of the protests. I go to one every week, weather permitting.
That’s wonderful. Your community must have a great network.
Thank you Sharon Storm. Please take care of yourself!
I really needed to get it out of my system, the rant helped. Thank you for caring, it means more than you know.
We have to care for each other now❤️💙

“Immigration Enforcement” agencies. CBP headed by Greg Bovino is a very bad actor. Miller wants ICE to be more like CBP.
