Inspirational Judicial words hopefully will prompt courage
Thanks StevenBeschloss…
“The Constitution does not tolerate willful disobedience of judicial orders—especially by officials of a coordinate branch who have sworn an oath to uphold it.”
“Our great democracies still tend to think that a stupid man is more likely to be honest than a clever man, and our politicians take advantage of this prejudice by pretending to be even more stupid than nature made them.” - Bertrand Russell
This article is exactly why I follow you. Your depth of knowledge, continued research and clarity of written reasoning is vital to helping us understand the issues and find solace in these dire circumstances. Thank you for your contributions to America!
Judges, lawyers, leaders in Congress, Governors, …. We the people are the bulwark for Democracy. Kudos to Justice Brown for clearly staying the needle for Judges to remain unintimidated by obvious unconstitutional and treacherous actions of Trump and his horrific Cabal.
Trump’s response in Welker’s interview could be a scene from Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Mr. Hand reacting to Spicolli’s answer to a question. Paraphrasing, I like that answer Jeff. I like it so much I’m going to put it on the board, I Don’t Know.
Even Trump appointed judges are siding with the Constitution. The pressure against the felon is only going to increase, and eventually, hopefully sooner than later, will cause something to give. Since his approval rating is dropping like a rock, the judiciary will come down hard on him. He may find himself and his colleagues becoming less and less supported by even his most ardent followers.
Thanks for curating these great quotes from recent judicial opinions for us. Singly they are impressive, but together they are uplifting and inspiring. It's so good to see that not every federal judge is an Aileen Cannon!
Trump does know he must abide the Constitution, and he took an oath to do so twice. He cannot accept his court-proven failures to honor the Constitution. So he “Don’t know!”
Trump lies. We know that is true. He is taking this country into financial ruin as he steals left and right. We watch him do it. We can stop some of the carnage with a sound, balanced budget, and a law that nixes deficit spending.
Steven, another “first class” article…thank you! Unfortunately, the judges can’t do it all…with the exception of the many upstanding Judges…as well as, a few valiant Citizens and vocal Journalists…where the Hell are the people, aka “The Opposition Forces” with some clout and facial recognition???? Yeah there’s a few past and present politicians with the Intestinal Fortitude to be on the Front Lines…but not many and WHY is that???? “Honor among Thieves or FEAR!”
WE THE PEOPLE must back the courts and the judges up. It is our duty to do so for their sake and for ours. It is the reason I take to the streets every chance I get. WE must prevail. I appreciate Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s independent voice as she is telling us not to quit, not to give up.
Thank you for posting this, Steven. I'm appreciative of these judges who DO know the law, DO know history, DO know our constitution. Blessedly unlike this ignorant misfit grifting, golfing, lying, occupying our highest office.⚖️⚖️⚖️👊👊👊

“The Constitution does not tolerate willful disobedience of judicial orders—especially by officials of a coordinate branch who have sworn an oath to uphold it.”
Judge James Boasberg
Trump’s “I don’t know” when asked if he should support the Constitution in the interview is just astounding.

Wise words by Russell.

Thank you for this astute synopsis of the courageous decisions and words of these Judges. They set an example for all of us.
All the best, keep speaking out and watch your six.
Steve Dundas
Thx, Steven

So true.
“Tolerance not coercion”! Thank you Steve we must all stay strong and pray for strength from those attacked by Trump.
Thank you Steven Beschloss for supporting us in the good fight.
I believe the judges will be what preserves the Constitution.

Thx. And yes, it can't be just up to the judges!
