How large of an intervention do we need? Does no one do any thinking for themselves but just take a line that is tossed out to them like a treat feeding on their frenzy? It appears people want to believe what they want and nothing the experts or informed educators say will make a difference. White people are feeling persecuted, which, in itself, is a joke. They stopped having children and people of color did not. What is wrong with learning about people who do not think like you or look like you? I have lived all over this country and learned to respect all kinds of cultures; Asian, Black, Evangelical (its a culture) and others. I might not agree but that doesn't mean I need to tell you how to live your life. When people decide its time for us to live exactly the same is when I tell those "people" NO. I thought America would, in time, get it right. I don't think that is what is happening. I sincerely hope I am wrong, but the cycle of history...

who's not thinking here? Joy Reid called another black woman a white supremacist. Again. Last month, she called Larry Elder a white supremacist. Remember him being attacked by a white woman in a gorilla mask? I am not asking you to believe me. I am asking you to believe your eyes.

Just listening to Morning Joe and getting angry. There is a big difference between an administration that doesn't immediately achieve its goals because of differences of opinion in the legislature among members of its own party (and an almost complete lack of cooperation by the other party) and one that engages in or at least supports criminal acts. That may be the choice we face in 2024. The decision shouldn't be hard.

criminal acts? didn't Durham just get two indictments? Methinks the Clintons might be getting a little worried. If I were any of their associates, I would worry about waking up dead.

Steven, I love reading you. Your post, in describing how racist Virginia voters are, forgot to mention the first Black woman was elected Lt. Governor and the first Latino elected GOP.

Oh, I know why! they are repubs and mentioning them would literally destroy your narrative. I mean literally destroy it. You are saying that voters in Virginia are white MAGA racists. That is 100% wrong. Winsome Sears perfectly destroys this divisive and untruthful narrative.

If your readers might like some more nuance on the subject, they can check out my latest post,

PS - check out the video where she challenges Joy Reid to invite her on the show, and that gets labeled an "attack."

As to Winsome Sears, when she stops posing with her AR-15 or whatever gun she is carrying, maybe then I would listen. I do hope she goes on Joy Reid's show. We will be able to see who talks faster.

can I ask an honest question? Why does that bother you? Legal gun ownership is the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution. Would her posing with a Bible or the Quran or the Torah? they are constitutionally protected as well.

As for the fact of her being labeled a white supremacist - where you stand on that?

By standing with a weapon, she is appealing to a segmented part of the population. Many years ago I lived out west. The first day of my new job I was getting out of my car and saw a man with a pistol on his hip. There was a policeman nearby and I went to report the man with the gun. The police officer told me that in this state it was legal. It was the only time I witnessed it. Apparently, the rest of the citizens did not go along with it. It seems it takes a certain mindset to care about an amendment written hundreds of years ago when the country needed militia. We don't need militias; we have the police force etc. I worked for someone that had a collection of armor unparalled to anyone I knew. He carried a gun on his ankle the whole time I worked for him. I asked him if he would use it if needed. Well, I found out. The one time he might have used it, he didn't and just stood there while I (a person of no physical strength) advanced on a gang of unruly men. After they retreated, I asked him what happened to the gun toting protector of women and children? I would have preferred to see Ms. Sears pose as herself, speaking for only herself and what she plans to do. Being labeled a white supremacist is just doubletalk for AfroAmericans who fall through the cracks and don't care about their own. Anyway, that's my take on it.
