Please keep writing, keep speaking, keep holding up the mirror to each and all of us. I’ve said it before and will say it again. G-D help us. This is so much bigger and more overwhelming than anything we’ve had to face as a nation. As usual, it’s not only about the act of war itself, but the much bigger question about what this portends. It’s about a dictator’s embrace of war as not evil but sublime. That’s what I see…the thrill seeker using the United States military to scramble to the top of the heap, leaving all the debris that has resulted for others to remove…while the trophies of war that are his mercenary objectives await. He has torn us asunder. He plunders and he loots. He smites and he lays low…and the innocents who are now dead in a girls school are only the beginning. This is biblical in its scope and scale…and it is now on us. ‘Round and around and around he goes, and what is next…nobody knows.
Thanks Steven: Yes Mr. Trump ,bombing and killing school children won't win the hearts and minds of the average Iranian. Netanyahu has been begging the USA for years to do the deed. The whole middle east will blow up in Trumps face. He cares not a whit for the American or Iranian citizen. He actually wants to be remember as a world class leader. Trump and his cabal have about as much negotiation skills as I do and that is none. You can't just bomb an idea out of existence. In order to change a regime one must put boots on the ground and root our the evil ones and help rebuild a nation , Thinking its a one and done and the protesters are going to finish the job is foolish . You can bet Trumps sons won't be putting their boots down. Some of the leaders are gone but the regime still remains. This barbaric action will not dampen the ghost of Epstein . You haven't got the balls to look the parents of the dead soldiers in the eye, You think the military personal are all "Suckers and losers" "Whats in it for them" You Mr. Trump are a deplorable example of a real leader.
Even more foolish, tearing up a successful agreement with Iran. trump has not hidden his doctrine of using negotiations as a ploy while US military assets are put in place for the attacks. Who will trust the US or feel restrained by agreements made?
This is what you get with 3 real estate moguls are at the helm.
We got into this war because Bibi and Mohammed bin Salman enticed him into it. Trump couldn't resist the epic rush of the sound and sights and smells of guided ordinance crashing down on people throughout the Gulf. Trump did it for the glory and for an Epstein distraction. Bibi did it to stay out of jail. bin Salman did it to secure the region from Iran's state actors and the constant threats against commerce. And that's the rub: follow the money. If you don't think that Trump, Witkoff, Kushner, Bibi, bin Salman are going to make out like bandits in the next three years, I've got a bridge I'd like to sell you. As to obvious, “'What people call conflicts of interests, Steve [Witkoff] and I call experience and trusted relationships that we have throughout the world,' Kushner said." Hours before the first bombs dropped, Kalshi and other prediction markets spiked to an all time high.
You've said it all and said it so well. All I can say is that everything you wrote is the absolute truth about the narcissistic, sociopathic president. A full-scale Middle East war, something many of us feared, is now a reality, thanks to the mad man of Maralago.
When you’re a dictator your ends always justify your means, which we’re seeing with virtually ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ now. IMHO, this was the greatest fear of the Founders of our beloved constitutional federal republic when they wrote its Constitution.
When in God’s name will the ‘news’ media put it all together?
Trump's reckless war is literally igniting the Middle East and the fire is spreading with potential for many innocent civilian casualties...... Was there nobody in the US Government who could foresee this response from Iran? ... or are the lives of citizens and residents in the area not important to the Americans and accepted "collateral damage" ?
Yes, many saw it coming including an overwhelming majority of Americans not interested in having a war with Iran. 1 in 4 or less wanted or approve of a war with Iran. Not starting wars; not doing ‘regime change’ etc were his campaign promises.
It is not who could see it. The question is who could prevent the Commander in Chief? Particularly this president who surrounded himself with those who mute any criticism and go with the flow. A president who has cowed the Congress into being the biggest bunch of do-nothings.
Follow the money. In return for a Qatari luxury jet, investments in Trump’s crypto scam, and business deals with the Saudis, nations at odds with Iran get the use of the US military. I am outraged and sickened but not the least surprised,
I am actually alarmed that only 43 % disapprove. The figures clearly show a bunch of "undecideds" How can anyone be "undecided" on whether we should go to war?
We are now living in the upside down world of Orwell where war is peace. How long before his “Board of Peace” begins awarding him peace prizes for attacks on countries or civilians? What of our allies in the region & other allies who now have many of their civilians under attack & trapped in the ME? Britain has 90,000 and the US many more than that.
Another military service member died. #4 we are told. Military advisors and analysts say 1/4 of the US stockpile was expended months ago on Iran. There are not enough long range missiles etc needed for this ‘no boots on the ground’ operation for more than several days, perhaps a week or so, at this rate. The president will speak today - if he doesn’t cancel again. He’s stated the US may continue bombing 4-5 weeks & does not rule out troops on the ground. This opens the door to a huge escalation in tactics in the ME or ….?
He claims the RG (estimated at 150K) is calling by the thousands to surrender. Really. The ‘Bibi and I do the bombing; unarmed Iranians rise up & the Revolutionary Guard lays down their arms (for “complete immunity), casualties happen’ — is not a plan.
this may be what I post all day: "Operation Epic Failure.......he's loosing his support in congress before the election, the 6 maga supremes are down to 3 or 4 and the epstein files will get out those 3 missing FBI documents, hopefully today ...the markets are going to tank .... his oligarch "hand puppets" just lost the "hand" that keeps them jabbering vile lies with their facial smirks on msm..because, of course, if we are not multi-millionaires we must be too stupid to understand how the world works...will he even go out to the base when the soldiers arrive home in coffins? what's his excuse when he doesn't? On a side note could he actually loose all those very wealthy countries personal business support in the Middle East? Will Qatar demand their plane back?"
Overall, markets tend to go up during wars. The US markets for now recovered & is only 60 pts down. European markets are a different story.
The real dangers are a little further down the road with the disruption of shipping for oil, natural gas & potential shortages of nitrogen used in fertilizer. Of course fertilizer shortages reduce food production. Uncertainty of the duration disruptions & the increased cost of avoiding Strait of Hormuz or being trapped where there is no way out.
European markets are a very different story & their natural gas prices ‘surged.’
Thanks for your response. The reality is that America and the World for now, are stuck with this democratically elected regime. The American people are the only ones who can take control over this regime this year peacefully, if they want to and use the chance to do it.........but even then, the chance to do it seems under threat. These sorts of regimes ultimately will self-destruct but only after an extended period of enormous casualties, pain and damage.......Please, American people, vote and vote to eliminate this regime. It may be your only chance.

Exactly right Ellen…
Thank you, Helen. I would rather NOT be right about this, but it seems pretty plain to me that we’re all hostages of a once-in-a-generation sociopath.

We need congressional hearings on this illegal war, immediately. This administration does not speak for me.

This president of peace has now bombed Hezbollah in Lebanon. Country #8? Axios provides a chart comparing military strikes by presidents by year. The comparison is chilling. https://www.axios.com/2026/03/02/trump-iran-war-military-strikes-maga
