I’m still awake never slept all is too important - so read your article as soon as it flashed - that it is simply a masterpiece- honestly- it’s powerful- again the emotion behind your concern and words. Artful.
The pure glee of Pete; horrifying.

“Real warriors—not frauds who play them on TV—know that war is hell. They don’t relish death and destruction. They are humbled by their duty. And they’re not afraid of journalists reporting the truth.”
The entire administration must go. Better yet we have to take back the house and senate making the administration impotent. I’m afraid that the orange menace is just part of the problem.
Abraham Heschel once wrote: “Real Evil is an act of self-gratification that disregards the worth and holiness of other beings.” I cannot stop thinking about the evil incarnate that inhabits the White House like a layer of thick icing over a cake that only they can eat, while the rest of the country and a good part of the world goes hungry.
But We the People, are hungry for the invisible things that would nourish us and our brothers and sisters everywhere; those principles which used to make us uniquely American yet also a part of all the countries with which we joined hands and hearts oh, so many decades ago. We’re starving now for those things, while the regime is gobbling up everything in sight so that no one else can come to the table. The Mad Hatter cries, “No room, no room”. We say, “There is plenty of room.” Art has never been more accurate in its depiction or imitation of life under this fascist movement.
Perhaps it doesn’t do to become too hyperbolic. But if there were ever a time for banging the drums of freedom, it is now. If there were ever a time to stand up and be counted, it is now. “For the times, they are a-changing.”
The first thing I read this morning, and the truth of it rings loud and clear. The two loudest and most corrupt fools in the world are taking credit for the worst defeat in 50 years and calling it a victory. Starting the war was among the least popular moves a president* could make, and yet, here we are.
The entire regime must be removed from power as quickly as possible, they are nothing but hollow, greedy, self absorbed shells, with no caring, compassion, or empathy for those they’ve harmed or killed.
The Constitution does provide an impotent mechanism for removing a president. The Republicans have made impeachment a joke. They refuse to exercise the constitutional powers of Congress to hold a criminal president accountable.
Laws don’t enforce themselves. IMO, the problem resides with the supine GOP and the voters who encouraged it. Previously the threat and humiliation of being impeached possible conviction/removal was enough. SCOTUS invented an immunity doctrine & the GOP surrendered to the Orange Menace. It has taken a lot of pain for the likelihood of enough voters to reverse course for change to become a real possibility.
As long as voters who are Nixon Republicans, Reagan Republicans, Bush Republicans and Trump Republicans continue to accept these men and their beliefs in the superiority of White Men, Private Education, Almighty Oil and Trickle-down Economics, America cannot be a Democracy.
"all for an unauthorized, unsupported war of choice with no clear justification against a nation that posed no imminent threat to the U.S." That, right there, exposes the flaws we have in our constitution....the 6 maga supremes ripped it up and opened it to let this ooze of a life form and his sycophants destroy the constitution, to be now labeled as "committing crimes against humanity" with his equal ooz of a life form bibi & putin....we cannot bring back the hundreds of thousands they have killed and maimed ..now what do we do?
I think it is less flaws in the Constitution than flaws in the leaders, including the Cabinet and Congress, who shirk their duties under the Constitution. It all began with bad choices by voters and decisions by SCOTUS.
Those are the 3 guardrails the Constitution provided: the vote, Congress as a check on the Executive & the power to remove an Executive; the Cabinet whose responsibility is not fealty to the Executive and voters. Then we have SCOTUS who gave him a large dose of immunity.
I doubt a Constitution can be devised that would protect us from ourselves; that can prevent the consequences of bad choices and a combination of supine and malevolent leadership being in the majority.
I saw John Kerry interviewed by Jen Psaki last night. He spoke about several aspects including his time on the negotiating team under Obama re: Iran nuclear deal. How Iran turned over 97% of its enriched uranium under that agreement. What hit me the hardest was his description of how Netanyahu shopped his fantasy to one president after another.
Through the Bush, Obama & Biden administrations he was turned down flat. There is other reporting on Netanyahu & George H W. Netanyahu detested his peace efforts. He had a more cordial relationship with George W although not getting all of what he wanted.
Along came Little Donnie who has delusions of grandeur; who fell for the fantasy of an easy quick win. More oil from a bigger Venezuela leading to more leverage over the global economy. Instead he proved all those *stupid* presidents were correct. His tanking of our economy is escalating as the Iranians teach him about their version of the Art of the Deal. Most of the globe is being dragged down with us.
All this and the human carnage left in the wake of Bibi and Donnie. Neither have a legislature or other leaders who will stop them.
WOW - powerful message, Steven! We CAN make America great again - VOTE! Vote for anyone that is not a toady magaT. VOTE because the future of America, the World, is at stake.
Very excellent, Steven. I especially liked your contrast between what we’ve got and real military leaders who understand the human cost of war and don’t have that blood-thirsty thrill that we see today. The two ecstatically talking about war and devastation are like the little boys who play with toy soldiers in the backyard and blow them up, or set them on fire, and thrill at the destruction. But those are, chronologically, little boys playing with toy soldiers. These little boys are playing with real lives, real infrastructure, real countries. The world is a mess because of the delight they take in the destruction. As far as I can tell, every authoritarian eventually leaves their own country destroyed. I fear that that’s where we’re headed, because we are halfway there. Yes, we still have our infrastructure and our homes and our cars and food to eat. But for how long, when we’ve already lost all our friends in the world and lost all sense of morality?

And you are right. Trump must go.

love 'orange menace'; he's like my orange that go left in back of crisper drawer - black, moldy and blubbery

The felon is projecting again.
These two dangerous fools have watched too many superhero films. Well, at least they got the 'cartoonish' part right.

Steven this is a masterpiece!
Hegseth is completely off the reservation. In some ways more dangerous than trump. He’s in the Steven Miller class of deranged and dangerous.
Trump is again deflecting his own short comings. Low IQ, loser, etc.

Shock! The Biggest Liar has liars lying to him!
