So many Roy Cohns…so little time. She wasted none of it on fairness, restraint and decorum. She is the face of this administration unmasked, not in the least concerned with the fact that she herself is breaking the law by not adhering to the Epstein Transparence Act. Rule of law, you might ask…what’s that, would be her answer…over and over again.
The rage most of us feel watching her shred our Constitution, laws and norms on behalf of her handler is beyond description. There are no more words, try as I might to give my despair form. I’m doing a lousy job, because it’s all too much, their corruption and despicable attitudes and behavior toward Congress. This method of dishonoring Congress is, by association, a dishonoring of the people of this country. Do you blame me for my fury? We’ve been slapped by the proverbial glove and feel as if we should but cannot defend our collective honor. Protest we should, and protest, we must, but we need Congress to realize that Bondi’s affronts are slaps that are heard and felt by good and principled people everywhere.
Bondi and Trump continue to make one critical error in their “Lie, Obfuscate, Attack” strategy: They fail to recognize that the whole world is watching. They will find out the truth in the maxim “You can run, but you can’t hide.”
Bondi never looked at their faces, let alone their eyes. She refused to look in their direction. She was the least likable person on the planet. Her arrogance was beyond anything I’ve ever seen before, with the exception of her performance in a similar hearing in the Senate. She needs to resign now.
Thank you, Mr. Beschloss. The embarrassment of being the ultimate djt/maga cult member changes day-to-day - bessent, lutnick, rfk, jr. But for those few hours before that committee, bondi was the ultimate cult member. I’m sure djt was delighted with bondi and, of course, she does “owe” djt quite a bit. A normal person would realize you are known by the company you keep. bondi’s performance tells us a lot more about bondi than she should want normal people to know. Unqualified. Amoral. Sycophantic. Those are not qualities a self-respecting American should want in ANY of our leaders.
Was anyone really expecting anything different. Its like being about to be hanged and expecting the person with the mask and rope to have 2nd thoughts. Brutality / cruelty / self advancement ... have no bounds. And its so true that the AGs who put the president over the constitution and Declaration were assassins.
Putting aside Stephen Miller who is not a Senate confirmed member of the Regime, Bondi is the most disgraceful member of the Regime. She presents no humanistic qualities whatsoever. She is unredeemable. Talk about crimes against humanity.
She watched the videos of multiple assaults on children and felt nothing. She probably brought popcorn. I have nothing but contempt for this creature.
It made a lasting unwanted impression on me seeing “the manacle bared raging face of Cruelty” spewing such hate - as you say “without impunity”
I was proud and relieved at the Democrats strength of presentation, and at the same time remorseful we are forced to prepare and retort in this manner to confront something hat should not exist: a protector of pedophiles—because we must - there is no other choice until we can truly mete out accountability.
….
I agree, Steven, Bondi’s taunts didn’t work. We won’t ignore this “grotesque cover-up”
Excerpt:
…”The taunts didn’t work. They only made her arrogant refusal to confront the reality of criminality contained within the Epstein files look desperate and mean and provide more evidence of a grotesque coverup of rich and powerful men who appear to have committed heinous acts. “
Thank you for not allowing knowledge of these actions to disappear.
Steven, thank you for your engaging summary of the Bondi-Senate proceedings. I couldn't finish watching it, it was too unpleasant and offensive.
Trump selected the right person for the head of the DOJ for his presidency. In fact, her actions and words are simply a reflection of Trump himself – lack of compassion, hardline and straight-faced, and accusatory. When she said, “Do not accuse me of breaking the law” and pointed her witch-life finger towards a Senator, my reaction was disbelief. My thought was, she truly does not understand the law or how it applies to a democracy.
Bondi demonstrated on several occasions that she adopted a strategy modeled after her “boss” responding to questions with assertive remarks and strong rebuttals. She also prepared a collection of opposition research concerning each Democratic questioner, with the purpose of challenging their credibility and encouraging a defensive posture.
This process was another Trump-like ugly televised insult to the American people.
I think Roy Cohn has been reincarnated as this nasty blond high school Queen Bee. It says more about the spineless Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee who just sat there and let her have her way. How would old Jeff Sessions have testified… and he was fired! Remember AG John Mitchell who went to jail for 19 months, a cautionary tale. There is a John Mitchell memorial cell somewhere waiting for Pamela Jo! I say we go back and look at Jim Jordan’s time as OSU wrestling coach when he ignored pleas from him team that they were being sexually abused. There’s definitely a theme here!
I watched maybe an hour of the hearings. I have never seen someone , let alone our Attorney General, act like that. I really have no words, just an awful feeling in my heart and stomach.
We have had Attorneys General who were as bad as Bondi. John Mitchell under Nixon went to prison. Bondi should take his place there. Richard Kleindienst, John Ashcroft, William Barr, and Jeff Sessions were more into protecting the President that administrating the law. Most have served honorably for the American people,; some with distinction.
Blondi is the perfect AG for this regime. She has NO conscience, empathy, knowledge of the Constitution and doesn't care about anything but serving dear leader. She is an empty vessel to be used and I can't wait for her to be indicted as soon as possible (2028) and convicted of sedition.

America, the world is watching.
Yes, the world is watching, and probably laughing at the Kakistocracy that we've become. A Kakistocracy with a manipulative, evil streak.
Well stated!

Actually traitors.

While Trump is Hitler reincarnated.

Vile witch. Is she banking on trump giving her a pardon? Are they all?
Bondi appears to be the new Roy Cohen.
I expect nothing less from one of trump’s sycophants. Lies, attacks, heartlessness, no compassion. What a failed human being.

She’s a sick and pathetic little heifer.
