Write what You are passionate about. Passion drive the research and brings the subject alive for your readers. I read several Stacks here, each for its own take on subjects.

I second that opinion, Kay. Much prefer written content, especially if I want to refer back to some statement or point.

The sign in process is clunky, unnecessary and a turn off. I do like your posts a lot
I filled it out, but unable to submit.
I like written content, but a conversation with a small group once in a while would be great.
