Great post. Of all the horrors of trump 2, I am most shocked by the hypocrisy of the Republican Party. All the bellowing about Hillary’s emails, Hunter’s laptop, voter fraud, etc. was purely performative. Barely a peep about trump’s open criminality and his serial violations of the Constitution. The only unifying characteristics of the party are the enrichment of the wealthy at the expense of the rest of us, and clinging to power at any cost.
November is going to be a conflagration. A culmination of pent up anger and fear, against the chaos, the injustice, the inhumanity that is the essence of the regime. Watch them carefully. They are rigging the elections. They are casting Democrats and by extension anyone who is or votes against them, as Communists. We are called left-wing terrorists. They are establishing the predicate for a military coup...if we let them. We have to put our differences aside and unite around one true thing: the regime/Republicans are a clear and present danger to our liberties, our fortunes, our lives. We must organize, not just complain. Make it a point to engage at least 10 people, get them to commit to voting, take them to the polls if necessary. Ask them to find 10 more, and so on. We can do this, but we can't do this alone. Bring sanity back to America. Vote!

This made me long for the ‘good old days’ of Trump’s horrible first term, where he was at least a little bit hemmed in by people with good sense and government experience and when, lest we forget, he awarded Dr. Fauci a Medal of Freedom for his work saving millions of lives during the pandemic. My heart hurt watching this despicable pile-on of Anthony Fauci, whom they tried to embarrass and browbeat and bring low. But the lesson for that day is that evil people can never elevate themselves when confronting a person of integrity in this fashion. They only reveal their own evil. They only reveal their own weakness They only reveal their own cruelty. And they certainly reveal themselves to be unAmerican. Such a gut-wrenching display of verbal violence should be forbidden because it wounds as surely as if they had a physical weapon. Such was my reaction. I never thought to see such a thing happen in the United States Congress.
Excellent essay on the mismanagement and horribly degrading episode of all the GOP’s Lives. It is the stuff soap operas are made of. It would be hilarious if it weren’t so degrading to Dr. Fauci and science. To allow an ophthalmologist to be the final word on actual viral sciences and epidemiology. Haha! The GOP is fantastic at destroying all things American and taking way everything, including dignity of someone with Dr. Fauci’s credentials ! He should be lauded and given awards instead of sitting for this farce and ridicule of the congressional fools. Just a reminder, we haven’t forgotten the Epstein Files. We haven’t forgotten the Iran excursion, holiday, 3 hour tour.

Paul is insane . The rest are filthy dirty people. I really don't know how they live with themselves and I don't know how there states keep electing them. I was worried about Dr. Fauci. He's 85 y.o.. He had to sit there take that abuse. It was beyond brutal. I wish he could go on tv or do an interview so that we could know he is alright.
