Taking a wrecking ball to due process by defacto elimination of the right to representation.

The folks who brought us Project 2025 noted the courts were a weak link during the 2020 court battles over the election. They know the pressure points. Although one of their tactics for dealing with the courts called for loud and visible presence in the streets they aren’t foolish enough to think it works. The architects are not “community organizers”. They are the deconstructionists here to carry out the deconstruction of the administrative state Bannon called for since trump’s first term.

The irony of Hitler’s Germany learning from Jim Crow and this administration learning from Hitler’s nazis is almost too obvious to bear.

Thank you. To think the republicans had the nerve to accuse Biden administration of weaponizing the Justice department. Appreciate your information.

Fight against Tyranny must begin.

Thank you for contrasting the use of the Justice systems: Fascism vs Democracy

I for one, would find it very helpful to have additional discussions regarding contrasting these two systems (Fascism and Democracy) along with specific examples of the current abuses clawing at our Democracy.

Thank you Steven and Mark. We need you.

And thank you for subtitles.

Favour?:

Is it possible to post an alert prior to your live discussions. For some reason, it’s more “fun” to see these live. 😊

And I don’t wish to be late.

Thx. There should be an alert just before we go live.

DON’T OBEY IN ADVANCE!!

Did you get THE MESSAGE?

Layers are smart! They should be able to figure this out!

HANG TOGETHER OR YOU WILL HANG SEPARATELY!

First Step is DON’T OBEY IN ADVANCE!

Then, take the Regime to Court!

I posted this comment on the Stop the Presses site after watching the video. Love you guys!!

The apparent reticence (polite word) of some of these high-end law firms is infuriating. I almost typed "shocking" but truth to tell I'm not even especially surprised by it. Most of them serve big-bucks corporations and the mega-wealthy, but doesn't "rule of law" mean anything to them?

It's also sobering how many of these anti-democracy Republican legislators have law degrees from Ivy League and other top-tier law schools. Is the importance of the rule of law taught there, or is the emphasis on clever ways to get around the law and/or bend or remake it to suit corporate needs?

Steven, I really wish you could include a transcript. I cannot watch the videos that you and other creators make. It’s a brain thing. The entire last ten years have broken me and my mental illness. I do enjoy what you put out in your Sub, and I’m a yearly subscriber. I just can’t watch the videos. My brain accepts the information better in a written form. I hope you see this comment. Thank you.

He's only afraid of the courts and the rule of law... what elon has been able to try to destroy what congress has control over proves that point..he's desparate to dismantle the judiciary arm of government and then he's won the game... of course it would be nice to know if the military may resist his commands even though he is commander in chief

Why are we standing idly by with our hands behind our backs in order to facilitate the process of allowing the gestapo to wrap their clammy hands around our necks and choke the life out of us?

The time is long past due to call for prolonged civil disobedience on a national scale, while demanding that the military and our law enforcement agencies disobey illegal orders. The way to bring this sordid regime down is to deny it the power to enforce its strictures. Yes, it will take an element of anarchy to show that the fascists are unable to govern this country. However, we are not going to effect any change if we lie down before them and allow them to keep trampling over our rights and values with their jackboots.

But here is my daily refrain: where is the united leadership that we need in order to direct the charge?

This is one of the most disturbing occurrences in this country. Refusing to allow Lawyers to represent Democrats and anyone who requires legal assistance that is not going along with the Trump debacle.

tRump’s efforts to plummet our Country and where he can, the World, into chaos is advancing at exponential speed. I read a Substack article by Malcolm Nance yesterday that was extremely disturbing regarding the “Land Grabbing” of Canada and Greenland! Then this mad assault on just about everyone’s economy via his, on again-off again Tariff scheme. He is literally thumbing his nose at all Americans as he disregards his campaign promises that got him elected but it puts his disregard for America/Americans on full display. Although there is a stirring among Democrats it’s far from effective! They’ve got to take a stand regarding this Budget and possible Government shutdown issue…perhaps not the way to do things in a perfect world but WE ARE AT WAR! They better start yelling loudly and pointing accusing fingers at the MAGots as being the reason for the troubles! Censure Democrats that will not stick with the Party…especially those that turned on Sen Greene and now Golden of Maine on the Budget/Shutdown issue. Are they so afraid of Trump? If in fact they’ve been threatened by MAGot goons speak out, shift the focus were it should be.

“Free Speech for People” has an online petition (apparently has ~250k signatures to date) to Impeach tRump AGAIN! Probably with the MAGot’s majority it won’t gain traction but even if it is a Symbolic gesture it’s something that’ll be noticed and annoy tRump…one never knows…but one can hope!

The Perkin's Imperial Order is much worse than you have suggested. It forbids government contracts to anyone who is represented by Perkins, even if the representation has nothing to do with government contracts. Thus Microsoft would be forced to jettison Perkins.

I suspect there is serious money backing Perkins. You can see the pleadings here: https://www.perkinscoiefacts.com/

I'm fascinated by the way the pronunciation of Perkin's name has changed. It is a Seattle firm, and when I was just out of law school here, we ALL called in Perkins COO eee. But then, in Seattle we refer to Boeing's and Nordstrom's--those companies owned by Bill Boeing and the Nordstrom family.

That's how you tell a native, in addition to being able to pronounce Puyallup and not carrying an umbrella.

I hope SCOTUS 4 (especially Thomas an Alito) are paying attention - they will be irrelevant and tainted for all time if they favor these illegal, unconstitutional when they come before them - and may as well go home in shame

we should encourage all law firms (except those that have drunk the koolaid) as well as the ABA and various bar associations, as well as a class action by

Americans that this is unlawful, and our donations to the dynamite probono attorneys who are taking the fight to the Elon/Trump machine, as well as Vought/2025 - also to take the Elon/Trump attorneys before licensing boards to threaten their licenses and turn the chill back upon them

Thank you for covering this important issue. I have been following Marc Elias on it at Democracy Docket. I was heartened to hear on Coffee with the Contrarians this morning that fourteen lawyers representing the law firm against Trump signed their names.
