Sent to my senators and to Senator Thune this morning. Who knows what effect, but next I'll call as well:

Senator,

Is this message from the President of the United States to the Attorney General of the United States okay with you?:

"Pam: I have reviewed over 30 statements and posts saying that,

essentially, "same old story as last time, all talk, no action. Nothing is being done. What about Comey, Adam "Shifty" Schiff, Leticia??? They're all guilty as hell, but nothing is going to be

done." Then we almost put in a Democrat supported U.S. Attorney, in Virginia, with a really bad Republican past. A Woke RINO, who was never going to do his job. That's why two of the worst Dem Senators PUSHED him so hard. He even lied to the media and said he quit, and that we had no case. No, I fired him, and there is a GREAT CASE, and many lawyers, and legal pundits, say so. Lindsey Halligan is a really good lawyer, and likes you, a lot. We can't delay any longer, it's killing our reputation and credibility. They impeached me twice, and indicted me (5 times!),

OVER NOTHING. JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED, NOW!!! President

DJT"

Does the Republican Party know the difference between right and wrong? Do you? Is anyone in the GOP going to step up and stop the madness, from Kimmel to Cash in a Cava bag to the President demanding that the Attorney General of the United States bring charges against political opponents? None of this is okay, is it?

Again we have a Constitution. And almost all of us have a concept of Right and Wrong. Which side are you on? Seriously, I want a response, and not a canned one.

Thanks for your attention to this matter! (bet you’ve heard that before)

Sincerely,

Yesterday, in the heat of the afternoon, about 200 like minded people in my town walked from a local parish to the federal courthouse in support of immigrant rights and in opposition to what Trump and his henchmen are doing. It was called Walk By Faith, and Lord, help me, we were singing 1960-era songs and chanting. It was great. And very hot. But to be with like-minded people, and to have passing cars beeping their horns and waving, it was great.

I think what alarms me the most is the weaponization of religion that these people carry as a shield to protect themselves from their obvious crimes. It’s been on full display in recent days, as, in my opinion, the tragic murder of Charlie Kirk has become a political bow and arrow by this administration. To exploit Kirk’s widow’s grief for political ends is unconscionable. She affirmed that her religion requires her to love and forgive her enemies. Trump has unequivocally stated the opposite…that he hates his enemies. Such is the basis of all his despotic actions going forward.

But in truth, the Supreme Court gave him that right. They handed him the tools to do whatever he wants, as long as it is within the purview of his official duties. It is now apparent that the weaponization of the justice department is fair game and is now beyond the reach of the long arm of the law.

Congress knows that all of this criminal activity is deeply deeply wrong and not anchored in our Constitution. But they have been sold, lock, stock and barrel to the highest bidder…and that now appears to be Trump.

My four grandparents were born in Italy. They were honest hardworking immigrants who became citizens. Both my Mom & Dad had 9 siblings. My uncles were veterans. So this comparison always bothers me. Trump wants to be like Putin, like Kim Jong-un, like Victor Orban.

I understand. But Trump dealt with and admired those criminals in NY. As for the larger concept, which matches: “A "mafia state" is a political system in which the government and top officials are deeply and systematically integrated with organized crime. In this model, the ruling elites operate the state as a criminal enterprise, using official power and resources to enrich themselves, their families, and their criminal associates.”

Same history

My mother, first generation Italian, born in this country after my grandparents fled the brown shirt facists and famine from Italy

My uncle and all my mother’s cousins in World War II went to help free Italy from Mussolini and Hitler. All the older generation Italians that came from Italy, considered it an honor to have their children do this.

What has really overwhelmed me is the relatives of these men are diehard Trump supporters !

They obviously do not understand the history of what our relatives went to World War II to fight against and how glad all of our grandparents were that they did it .

There is no reasoning with any of them .

My maternal grandfather worked as a janitor at Bethlehem Steel. He taught himself to read and write English. He raised 10 children with his wife, bought a small house in Bethlehem, PA and left each of his children a little bit of money when he died. To this day, I am awed by his fortitude.

Yes, and Putin's Russia since 2000 has been run very much like a "mafia state" as well, so the comparison seems valid.

This is an article from Steve Schmidt about Tom Tom Homan

Inside the article, there is a new ad put out by this new department of war with Hegseth reciting the “our father “over it

It is an outrage and blasphemous

It looks like the ‘warrior’ philosophy of law enforcement. Anyone who doesn’t agree is the anti of all good people & things. They are governed by a ‘higher authority’ & not to be questioned. Very dangerous.

I suspect this ad, the Kimmel thing (he’s now reported to be returning Tuesday) & a new policy forbidding reporting on the Pentagon that is without government approval are one of their “all of government” initiatives.

I am sharing this young woman talking about leaving Maga. The important piece that she says is that she was made to feel like she was losing her faith.

This is how they’re keeping people in Maga tying it, intertwining it, manipulating and exploiting it with religion and belief in God

Thank you for pointing out the mob connections. Something we tend to forget. “His” Roy Cohn was a mob lawyer. And also for pointing out the attacks on Venezuelan boats. The lawlessness some in the WH and Congress wish to nullify via Congressional approval & without borders or clarity. (It would not nullify international law.) In other words broad authority to the WH to do whatever Donnie chooses.

Those who want to capitalize off the death of Charlie Kirk are using the fact that his employer not the government, suspended him. Conveniently ignoring the open threats to broadcast licenses and that Carr said the “we” are not done.

Yes, we are in deep trouble. This is an administration of destruction.

Thanks Steven: Quite an update. Yes the Don wana be is acting just like a mob boss. All the departments are under his control and he has no regard for the American populace. Unfortunately the DOJ is defunct , the FBI and DOD or DOW is rendered useless. Mr. Homan will be out pan handling with his lunch bag for more bribes. The supreme court is useless, the lower courts are been slowly restructured . I'm not sure if "Sammy the Bull" is still around but if he is I'm sure Trump will find him a position in his decrepit administration. I spent five hours watching the exploitation of Charlie Kirk and presently need some therapy. (just kidding). Just another day for Trump , a real hate rally. He uses you alive or dead. Short of a military coup, it is going to be up to the population of ordinary American citizens to keep protesting. The Democrats had better not cut any deals with a man whose word is worth dirt. They had better put health care and social security on the back burner and start to consider saving a democracy. Shut the show down and don't keep funding your demise. Health care and Social security will be privatized in short order.

Steven, There appears to be a slowly growing shift in the tone of replies to your comments and others like you. The current administration aka Crime Family, including the complicit members of SCOTUS, have become blatantly defiant with their threats, actions and complete disregard for Americans and their values and Laws. I think…again based on comments…the mass of decent Americans are becoming more and more agitated by this takeover. We need a focus for this agitation…frankly…an organized resistance with recognized and respected Leaders. This has been pitifully absent with only token efforts by a brave few.

Face it we are (were) a two Party system of government…one Party now a virtual Gang, have made their presence very obvious…But, where in Hell is the other one???? What we don’t need is an unruly, undirected Horde! But, a well led Movement consisting of tens of millions of good, decent Americans with the goal of America’s restoration is another matter. I’m not advocating violence…just RESOLVE to take back that which is ours!!!

It’s going to be very difficult given the hand SCOTUS has dealt us in support of this administration. The SCOTUS majority seems determined to work itself out of a job. Meanwhile where does that leave us? Trouble to the right and trouble to the left.

Although Kimmel is reported to be returning tomorrow, the 1st Amendment is under constant attack. Reporters are no longer ‘allowed’ to report Pentagon information not approved by the government.

NYT is reporting what I would call a shift to ‘guilty until proven innocent’ doctrine:

— Supreme Court Allows Trump to Fire F.T.C. Commissioner

The justices said they will consider whether to overrule a landmark Supreme Court precedent that has limited the president’s ability to fire top officials at the agency.—

The fiscal battle is on with a Sept 30th deadline but an administration that doesn’t follow laws regarding appropriations. Some in Congress want to give the WH very expanded war powers while he at the same time is prepared to go after “Antifa” and other “domestic terrorists. — Another area where there is no legal mechanism. None for prosecuting domestic terrorists or having such a list. However there is a definition & it can/will be used to “investigate”.

Ann, the blatant attack on the 1st Amendment signifies that tRump will now openly initiate a full scale attack on each and every law and/or person that he considers an enemy or roadblock to his complete domination of America. When Decent Americans eventually move against him…the complicit SCOTUS Majority should be targeted as well. I don’t know what you believe as to what our chances are regarding 2026 & 2028 elections…I personally believe they will never happen!

I’m not willing to make canceling the elections a self-fulfilling prophecy. Considering his insistence on gerrymandering mid-census, I don’t think they want to overtly cancel them. States still control elections. State and local officials still want to be elected. After all, elections were held during the Civil War, including under military occupation in 1864 in Louisiana and TN.

More rural hospitals have closed. The dumb autism - Tylenol connection was announced with a new faux ‘cure’ for autism. The full picture on healthcare hasn’t emerged.

There are those on the ‘right’ who are alarmed by the FCC remarks and attitude. Tucker Carlson was perhaps the first, followed by Ted Cruz and then Rand Paul. Podcasters in some corners are nervous too.

I think the big thing is how to move against what the fed is doing - with a positive agenda. Something that speaks to restoring sanity, the country & our rights. People are drowning in negativity which feeds hopelessness. All the while, polling tells us he’s lost a sizable majority of the country. Support in red states is soft. Approval for the economy is 35%-40%. This is why they fear the midterms. People should feel emboldened; prepare to vote & encourage their friends and neighbors to get off their couches.
