Thank You Steven ..Yep, we have to keep finding the laughs where we can or it would be impossible to continue on in our beautiful country .. My friends and I trade cartoons about this savage person . . We have to laugh it breaks up the crying. I think the laughing makes us less afraid of what he is doing. lost in america

Good one! If we all, and I mean ALL, can’t support freedom of speech, then all is truly lost and this country isn’t worth a plugged nickel. If MAGA isn’t for that then I say bring on the civil war. I’m 75 but I’ll gladly man a foxhole.

Excellent message, Steven! Anyone who can't laugh at themselves from time to time and takes offense at the slightest whisper of humor directed their way isn't capable of leading anyone, particularly our country.

Steve- love these shot takes especially as over- subscribed to too many substack. One suggestion, film them from an armchair so it’s like you’re popping in for a quick visit

This is so on point and to the heart of the matter, that it left me speechless without something to add.

The truth spoken from the heart can sometimes be so powerful that it can take your breath away, like an amazing view, or painting, since it speaks to all of us.

So, thank you for this.

Well, when you put it all out there as you did, it helps if people let you know that you have done the right thing. So, no problem.

So essential! Laughter and seeing the absurdity of this regime and making fun of it may be what brings it down. I don't want to live in a country where you can't say what you think especially about the current people in power whoever they are. It's what makes me feel most American. We have to endure. If Ukraine can do it, we must do it.

This is an excellent format. Oh, and, also: the messages are perfectly on -- may I use the term? -- target.

Thanks for this new feature! I get too many substacks and often just delete without reading the long posts. These short videos are great!

I love this test for political candidates: do they have a sense of humor? Real humor, not the weird attempts by JD et al, which always consist of belittling or attacking others. Just genuine joy at the absurdities of life. And a corollary would be: can he laugh at himself? If voters get the sense it’s all about you (the candidate), then they’re forewarned: it’s not about them!

Good one -- but I couldn't help noticing that the caption referred to "late-night hoes." Hmmm . . .

I can't help noticing that all those "late-night hoes" are white guys. They're all good for sure, but there have to be male emcees who aren't white or female black, brown, white, red, and/or yellow emcees capable of hosting a late-night show. Maybe that's just too risky for the financial powers that be?

Could be he's only getting started with the comedians because they are easy prey. Easy because it really is difficult to imagine many MAGA voters as keen observers of humor and satire. And next? Keep looking over your shoulder.

Right on point as usual Steven. I need these comedians to help give me something to laugh at and keep the darkness away. I also appreciate you and other commentators who keep shining that light on the madness.

They'll come for the guns (of the left, who have many BTW) next. And we'll all have to have our "papers" on us at all times and even then, if they search our social media our identities won't matter so much as the content of our thoughts and words. And finally, they'll come for our bodies, instruct us how to use them--or not--and punish us if we dare disobey. This is not laughable but I laugh in spite of it, spit in their wretched faces and save my energy for the long haul back from this abyss. Resistance. Solidarity. Laughter. Chlorine bleach for the regime.
